Yettel Bank plants 140 Serbian spruce trees in three elementary schools
Yettel Bank has taken another step towards a healthier and more sustainable future by planting 140 seedlings of Serbian spruce in three elementary schools in New Belgrade, in celebration of the 140th anniversary of the National Bank of Serbia.
“When we initially considered tree planting trees, we were uncertain about the number. We wanted to contribute in a meaningful way, but no number felt sufficient. However, the right choice was 140 – in honor of the 140th anniversary of the National Bank of Serbia. I truly believe there is no better way to celebrate this milestone while also contributing to the preservation of nature,” said Aleksandar Bogdanović, President of Executive Committee of Yettel Bank.
As a socially responsible company, Yettel Bank emphasizes the symbolic nature of this initiative, aiming to inspire the broader community to take action and create a better place to live for future generations. Every moment is the right time for such actions, and raising awareness about the importance of environmental conservation, especially regarding our indigenous and endemic species, is never redundant. The entire event was made even more special by the youngest students of Sava Šumanović Elementary School, Duško Radović Elementary School, and Borislav Pekić Elementary School, whose smiles and efforts were invaluable in creating a new green oasis in their schoolyards.
